To improve the quality of life for at home patients and their caretakers through the development of improving overlooked products of unsustainable home medical devices.

Medical devices are not just a tool, they are a part of the patients life which is to take into consideration for a human centered product.

LIFE WITH MEDICAL PRODUCTS

For quadriplegic children like Terrance, an aspirator is a device that must be by his side 24/7. A product thats used daily doesnt just sit in your living space, it integrates into your life. A product this essential to a person's wellbeing should not be so painfully under-designed and expensive, but rather thoughtfully designed through a human-centered approach.

SOLUTION

DESIGNING FOR PEOPLE

With our intention to incorporate air power to our Aspirator and CPAP, we resolve issues of sustainability, noise, and ergonomics.

DESIGNING FOR PATIENTS AND CARETAKERS

We designed with the quality of life in mind, to service with a dual functioning system that is easy to use for the caretaker and beautifully designed for the patient's home.

PROOF OF CONCEPT

As air flows through the venturi, the smaller chamber sucks creates a vacuum that is connected to the yaunker of which can suck up fluids.

SELF-CLEANING YAUNKER

Airflow expels water throughout the tubing and yaunker to flush out any excess fluids into the secondary container.

ABSENCE OF METALS AND E-WASTE REPLACED WITH RECYCABLES

The redesigned internal components does not have batteries, metal wiring, or any sort of e-waste. This product is designed to be 100% recyclable utilizing sustainable plastics.

HOW IT WORKS

Turn the aspirator on Suction baby Rest the suction yankauer (automatically flushes system) Turn Aira off

TWO FUNCTION SYSTEMS | ASPIRATOR AND CPAP

Ambient flows into the system, through the humidifying chamber, then into the CPAP mask to provide pressurized air to the user. Utilizing the venturi effect, the O2 supplied to the system in converted to suction.
